How we help:

In addition to eligibility for voting, holding office, and participation in the conferences, each member receives a quarterly newsletter.  The MAWS newsletter lists regional fiber events, and provides free classified ads to members.  

 

 

MAWS also provides grants to member guilds for learning opportunities held in non-conference years.  Grants are provided to guilds who wish to sponsor a workshop, and are willing to open it to others in the state. These workshops allow students to gain knowledge in specific fiber arts from great instructors.

Up to 5  -  $200   scholarships will be awarded to MAWS members to attend the next MAWS biennial Conference in  2024 based on applications submitted by the announced deadline of January 31, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified in February, in advance of conference registration. . This scholarship is open to all MAWS members, but can only be applied to conference costs.
